Can anyone recommend a salon in Queens? I will be getting ready in Glendale. My mother will be doing hair and makeup as well. But my MOH and my one BM will be doing their own. So having a hard time finding someone who will come to the house without charging me an arm and a leg.

would you prefer a certain part of queens in particular? bc some can be further from you than others. Where do your bm's live
try Christie's and Co. in bayside, they do a great job and their prices are very reasonable. $30 for regular make up and $60 for airbrush.
I also like Friends in Astoria but they are a bit more pricey.

Well the one in bayside might be better then. Or try forest hills might be easier for you to get to, everybody raves about spectrym on austin street.

I was always curious about this place, do they do make up also? M salon is like 5 mins away from me, and usually if i have an event to attend or need hair styled and make up, i go to Christie's and Co. or go to Friends in astoria since i used to live in astoria. So i would like to have a place closer to me that I can go to. I know everybody raves about spectrym and heard they do a great job but when i called to get my hair done for a wedding i was attending, they really bothered me lol although i shouldnt let that judge their work.

I live in Astoria, Queens. I used my local hair girl. She works out of her house. She does travel though. She has also done two other brides on here, that I know of. FM me if you want her info

They do amazing work , and yes they do make-up. I got my hair and make=up done there for my engagement party and was soooo happy :) Let me know if you would like me to recommend the girl who does my hair when I go there.

I can also recommend my hair person, she can come to your house if it's a Sunday or Monday.
