Salon Menage

I was recently married on 2/16, and I cannot say enough great things about this salon. As I mentioned in previous posts, the bridal assistant I was to have a trial with FORGOT we had an appointment that day, so my catering hall reccomended this salon. Michelle, did both my hair and makeup and I was VERY PLEASED with both the outcome and the price. Another bride to be was there for her pedicure/manicure and commented how she wished she booked Michelle instead of another salon If anyone needs additional info please feel free to ask or e:mail me at [email protected] Happy Planning

Questions, Questions...Salon Menage

Where are they located and can you post the phone number? What type of hairstyle did you go with and how much did they charge you for it? Have you ever used them for a trim? What type of hair do you have? I have naturally curly hair and have found when I get a haircut, almost no one can keep my hair smooth and from frizzing out and looking dried out. I have someone in mind if I choose to put my hair completely up, but am leaning toward putting the sides up and leaving the back down. Thanks for the help.

Kel, They are located in Wantaghon Merrick Road, (516)785-0082. My hair is past my shoulders, I'd say almost to the middle of my back and is wavy. The updo was 75 and the make-up was 40. If you want to e:mail me at [email protected] I have a digital photo that can give you and idea of the style I went with

HAIR QUESTIONS----KEL

I have naturally curly hair too and want it half up half down for the wedding. Have you found any pictures of the styles that you like? If so, where? I have been looking, but not found anything! I`ve gone to hair dressers, when going to weddings, that really do not know what I want or am envisioning...They think they do, and then they do my hair and it does not come out the way I want.I don`t know what to do!

HAIR QUESTIONS----Neda

I know exactly how you feel. It took a long time before I found someone who would cut my hair exactly how I asked. They`re all usually so busy saying, 'Oh what beautiful curls!' and not paying attention to what they should be doing. But anyway...I haven`t found an exact picture of a hairstyle that I want, but I have found some that are fairly close to the general idea. It actually may end up being a combination of a couple of pictures. Go to the fashion section of http://www.weddingchannel.com then choose 'veils & headpieces.' For the best results, only select a headpiece, then click search. You will get a ton of pictures to sort through with various hairstyles displayed with the various headpieces and veils. This should give you some general ideas, and maybe you`ll be able to find something you like. My headpiece is a bunkeeper. If you choose bunkeeper in a search and go straight to page 19 you will find a few hairstyles with the top and sides pulled up into the bun and the back left down. I like something like that, only I want some curls to cascade around my face and would prefer the sides and some of the top to be pulled back softly rather than everything pulled back harshly like you`ll see in a lot of the pictures there. I also don`t want my hair wrapped too tightly in the bun. I would prefer keeping loose natural curls, or wide, smooth curls made with a curling iron (something like picture #163 of the 200 that comes up on the bunkeeper search). Sounds like I`m asking for a lot, but it really just seems like a basic style, nothing excessive. Good luck with your search and keep me posted on your progress. If I find an exact picture of what I`m discribing, I`ll let you know. You can always email me at [email protected]
