does anyone know of any salons in suffolk that will give you champagne while you get your nails done? my friend wants to do a mini-spa day before her wedding, and all the places she's found have required these extravagant packages. she just wants a nail place with cocktails lol, simple enough right?
thanks!

Re: Salon with Cocktails?
In our salon, when a bridal party comes in they bring in their own champagne. You need a liquor license to serve alcohol. Whether their paying or not. Why dont you guys just bring in your own. You can get a cheap bottle and some OJ and have momosa's. Or even cut up some strawberries and and put them in a container and bring them with you..

I did a spa day for a friend's bachelorette party at the Cactus in East Islip. We brought in champagne and they had no problem with it.

Polished Skin Lounge offers you a drink when you walk in! But I hate them because they screwed up my appointment and then were rude to me. Can't stand salon/spa attitudes!

They were great there! They bought food and stuff and we reimbursed them. They were very easy to work with.

I live down the block from Dashing Diva, the one in Great Neck. It's a bit pricey, and they didn't offer me a free cosmo when I got my nails done.
It's $10 for a manicure, and you may or may not get your free drink

Lacking when you have a problem! I never had an issue until I made an appointment online. They called me the day before, while I was at work, and it was a really horrible day so I had no time to call them back until I got home at 9pm, which I didn't even bother because I figured they'd be closed. So I thought I'd just call them in the morning. They got to the phone first and sounded all in a tizzy saying the online software 'shouldn't have let' me make an appointment. So I said, fine, what other appointments do you have before 5 since I'm leaving on vacation (which is why I needed a wax!). They said they had none. Now I am pissed. So I said why did they call me so late about this? I made that appointment Monday. They said they tried to call me 3 times. I said they called me yesterday while I was at work. They insisted they could have made arrangements if I had contacted them earlier. So I said fine, thanks and bye, before I really ripped someones head off. So I sent them an email saying how it was poor customer service for someone to call me the day before an appointment and I have never had anything like that happen and I hope it doesn't happen again because I've been such a loyal customer, but if this is what I can expect, I won't use them anymore. They sent me a NASTY email back. Totally unprofessional. They said they called me wednesday, I have no missed calls or messages on my cell or house phone. Hello, I have caller ID. So I won't use them anymore. But it was a really cute place. I was going to have a spa party there. But now I think they are total liars, immature and unprofessional. Sorry that was long!

ugh, that's terrible. if there was a mixup with the appointments and they didn't catch it until the day before, that stinks, but at least they could have been professional and apologetic. sorry for your experience
