Salpino's - Wantagh

Anyone ever go there? If you havent, they have the best Chicken patties there. They are made with sun dried tomatoes and spices....The package is $4.99 for 4 patties.

salpinos is located on Merrick road, in wantagh....A few blocks passed Wantagh avenue...If you are coming from Bellmore.....They will be on the left side.

I have been there.... it is the closest thing to the deli's/butcher shops in howard beach that I have seen out here......

I like the rice balls and proscuitto balls - yummy - I want one now....

I used them for catering as well and it was really good. Got lots of compliments.

But I went to dinner at the restaurant right nearby - I think the same name and the food wasn't good at all...I went on Christmas Eve - so maybe that was why...

It reminds me of Ragtime a bit......I used to drive to Cross Bay Blvd very week to get meats & cheeses

I never ate at the restaurant...hmmmm I wonder if they were just too busy to keep up on C. Eve..... That's disappointing.

Everything there is DELICIOUS!! Especially the Moz cheese!
My DH and I actually stopped there on the way to the beach, where he proposed. so salpino's holds a special place in our hearts :)

The restaurant is a tad pricey and I don't think, worth it.
