Do you put money in the bucket outside of the stores?????????? I do as often as possible But i often wonder why this only happens around the Holidays I mean people are without all year round

I do. U are absouletly right about people being without all year round.
i think they only do it during the holidays b/c 1. people are more generous at this time
2. the cost of the bell ringers and sorting the change might be too much if done all year (people aren't as likely to give if its always around)

i do... and i agree it should be all year round!!! the homeless dont only need food during the holidays...

My dad used to work for the Salvation Army before he died and it is a great organization. They do alot more than people realize and as someone said before, they are out in force during the holidays because that is when people start feeling more generous.
