My BM's are wearing strapless dresses, and prob going to have updo's as well. I really think the dress needs a necklace and small earrings since it's strapless. My FSIL is allergic to many kinds of jewelry though, and she'd rather wear like chandelier earrings with a chunky bracelet. Do you think that would look weird with my other 3 girls in necklaces? Maybe I should get one of the others to volunteer to wear the same, so I have 2 with necklaces and 2 without? Not sure what to do... ACK!

I dont think that it would look weird. I say let her wear it. I know I have to be careful about what I wear on my neck due to allergies

my fsil in allergic to silver anything silver (or costume) she can not wear but aggreed to deal with it for the pics and the ceremony. she really wants to match the other girls and she said for a few hours it wont bother her it`s after prolonged periods of time that she will break out in a wicked rash and/or hives

i am allergic to everything except 14k gold and higher....i can not even wear real silver so i understand your FSIL delemmia with jewlery....i did for my sisters wedding put clear nail polish on the necklaces she purchased for everyone and wore it for pictures so we all looked uniform....at the reception it didnt matter that i didnt have it on...it is mainly just for the pictures so maybe she can do that if it is important for you that the girls be uniform...
or you can get the girls real gold necklaces as their gift for being in your bridal party...MACYS has amazing sales on jewlery so it wont cost alot when buyings a couple of them Just an idea

what about something non-metallic? like big pearls on a fishing-wire type cord? would she be allergic to that too? a friend of mine wore a necklace like that as a BM and it was gorgeous
FSIL is allergic to latex and claims that some of the wires or strings I guess that make up jewelry have latex in them? Which sort of makes no sense cuz how would she be allergic to it on a necklace and not a bracelet? I dunno... I personally think she's full of baloney LOL - but I also don't wanna deal with her if she TRULY doesn't wanna wear a necklace. She's the one who's gonna look different than the other girls, so if she's fine being the odd one out than okay! There's also a chance that one of my other BMs will like the chandelier earrings/chunky bracelet idea and will wanna do that, too, so then it'll be 2 and 2. Apparently my dental hygenist makes bridal jewelry with Swarovski crystals, so I am going to see her stuff and see what we end up doing. Thanks, ladies :)
