Just wondering...Did your florist provide a sample centerpiece? Did you have to pay for it?
I had some difficulty with a florist (to remain unnamed) who said that she does not do a sample but if I really want one she is charging me the price of the centerpiece $160 bucks! Of course I was allowed to keep it-thanks a lot! Then she has the nerve to send an email to FMIL saying that she cannot work with me because I'm backing her in a corner about the sample. So now I'm looking for a florist again with 9 weeks to my wedding. I guess I should be glad because she was a prententious biatch who was extremely inflexible!

Contact Designs by Rose.....you're doing the right thing by not working with this vendor. I can't imagine NOT getting a sample!

That's ridiculous! I have never heard of the florist not providing a sample cp! I've heard that some don't do sample bok's but not centerpieces, how can you book someone without seeing their work? Ugh! Call James Cress in Smithtown, the owner (Gary) is awesome, very flexible and probably one of the nicest people I know. He'll do whatever you want :)

Its standard to get a sample and not pay for it.

I've never heard of a florist having the audacity to TRY to charge you $160 for a sample cp! EVER! You should be looking for a new florist. Try Jen from Verbena Designs or Designs by Rose.

I just saw my sample CP last night, free of charge, at Pedestals! It was amazing. I'm sorry you are having such rotten luck but at least you found out now and still have time to find a new florist!
