Do florists usually show you a sample centerpiece before you book them? We are choosing between 2 florists and both are making us a sample centerpiece before we choose anyone. I told FH that I didn't think this was common - what is your experience?
To my knowledge, that is not common. I didnt ask me florist to make a sample centerpiece before booking, I will see my sample centerpiece this fall.
In my experience its pretty common. You couldn't make a decision without seeing the product......
it depends on the florist. I met with one and she said she doesnt make samples before you book but this fri i am goign to another one and she is making me a sample so I can make a decision
i dont think its very common either. we only had two options for florists, spitz & peck or stefans. when we went to stefans, the person we were working with basically sat us down in front of a pc and went throw 500 pics (probably more), the second florist, s&p did something similar, but they had many samples setup in their show room. they happen to have what we were looking for. when i asked how other colors/flowers would look, she ran into the back, got some more flowers and put them in the cp. so i guess its safe to say that they didnt make us up one, but they definitely catered to us when we ask how it would look differently and even put the flowers on a candelabra oppose to the vase it was on.

I thought it was common. How are you supposed to know what they will have in mind for you and their style before you book? I'm getting one made by the people I like. I know I will sign the contract with them because we clicked really well and he picked up on my style right away, but he said during our meeting 'Of course before anything we will make you a sample' like it's a standard thing.
I know Pedestals makes one b/c we are using them. The other florist we looked at did not.
no, my florist offered to make a sample if I booked, but not before. but that's great that you're getting them!
I ACTUALLY WAS TAKEN IN THE BACK WHERE THEY KEEP THE FLOWERS & VITO PULLED OUT EVERY FLOWER I WANTED OR WHAT HE WAS THINKING & KIND OF THREW IT TOGETHER. AND THEN IN THE FRONT HE KIND OF SHOWED ME PRARRANGED FLOWERS THEY HAD OUT THAT WAS SORT IF WHAT I LIKED.
