I think some of you know that I live in San Diego... Well yesterday morning I had to be evacuated from my house and still have not been able to go back. BUT I'M SAFE! That's what's important! I already know 2 friends whose houses have burned down...this is just a disaster! Nothing will ever be the same after these days... I'm just praying my house will be ok...there are so many memories and so many things left there.
I always thought I would know exactly what to grab from my house if anything like this ever happened but all I can think about is what's left there...
*UPDATE*
In case anyone wants to know... We're still doing alright and our house is still standing. We're still not aloud to go back but we know that everything is safe by us for now!

OMG i'm so sorry to hear that, as long as youre Ok!!! Thats important. My aunt, uncle and my cousins and their little kids had to evacuate too. I havent spoken to them since right before they were leaving their house so we dont even know where they went to :(

That's awful. I've been following this on the news and feel terribly for everyone there. But like you said, the most important thing is that you're safe and I'll cross my fingers that you're home is just the way you left it when you're given the all-clear to return.

Yea, definitely! I just feel so bad for everyone that's staying at the stadium. I was listening to the radio on my way to work and so many people are sleeping on the ground and need food. So I think I'm going to try and bring some stuff over there today.

Glad you are safe!! I've heard that the news coverage is only focusing on areas like Malibu so people in other areas aren't aware of the severity until it's almost too late. Praying for ya! Keep us posted.

The news stations in our area have definitely been covering our areas here and have been really helpful in letting everyone know when to leave and where to go.
The saddest thing yesterday was watching one of the new casters actually report while watching his own house burn down. It was devastating

I can't even imagine what everyone out there is going through...the most important thing is that you and your family are safe..the house can be replaced..you can't! My thoughts and prayers to you and your family...and all the other families having to deal with this tragedy.
