San Juan - Puerto Rico

Has anyone ever been and if so where to stay?? FH and I are considering going there next year so I thought I would look into it..

I was there when I was 15 or so. Dont remember where we stayed. We are going there for the first leg of our HM and staying at the El Conquistador. When I told my family (they travel to PR often, we have family living there) they were impressed with our choice. They all said it is beautiful, one of the resort places you visit for dinner when you're staying in a less expensive place. So I cant say what the El Conquistador is definatley like, but so far my picky family says its amazing. Hope this helps

My family and I almost always stay at the Intercontinential before the cruises we take that leave from San Juan.

It has a really nice pool area with plenty of seats - and it is on the beach - The hotel is nice and easy to get around from.

We on occasions stay at the El Caribe Hilton which is also nice

We went about 2 or 3 years ago and stayed at the Wyndham El San Juan Hotel and Casino..I loved it..its soo nice there.

Whether you are on the beach or by the pool, you can put up this little flag on your lounge chair and they waiter comes over to take you order!

We are staying in Puerto Rico for the first 2 nights of my HM, and we booked the El Conquistador, but I do not think it is in San Juan, it's in a different town, much closer to the reainforest, El Yunque. El Conquistador has been highly recommended to me by family and friends, and my travel agent. The resort even has a 4 star spa and it's own private island that they ferry you to.

Then we are off on our southern carribean cruise!!! Cant wait!
