Hosterial del Mar, I havent stayed there my friend did, its nice. Look for a boutique hotel, they are nicer, more romantic, less people, a little more expensive but well worth it.

We stayed at the El San Juan recently and it was absolutely beautiful! It was really nice and we enjoyed their two pools and very relaxing atmosphere. They recently renovated the rooms in their tower and it was very modern. If we hadn't just gone, we would be taking our honeymoon here. My FSIL went for her honeymoon and stayed at the Ritz and LOVED it! Try looking into both of these places.

If you go, you must eat at the Italian restaurant in the El San Juan, Il Mulino is an absolute must and the Palm in the El San Juan. We had 3 very fabulous meals at all of these restaurants but especially Il Mulino.

I also recommend taking a ride on the banana boat. We had so many laughs on that thing especially when I fell off and almost lost my bathing suit! Any more questions, just fm me. Here is a pic of one of the pools at the El San Juan.
