Re: San Saouci

FH and I went there when we were looking for a halll. I liked the whole atmosphere - but its not a traditionaly reception hall - it is a house converted to a hall - i ddint like the fact that the seating arrangments are a little odd - the bride and groom are stuck in a corner and not everyone can see them - the dance floor is off to one side - FH and I needed at least 175 people and i felt that would be just too clustered for us. I've heard they have great food - but i thought they were rather high with their price - we were pricing for January and we got a $87 plus tax & tip quote - i thought that was rather high

We're having our reception there. It is a little different than a normal catering hall. It is basically one room, weather permitting your cocktail hour is outside, otherwise it is on the dance floor.
It is also smaller, their max is 180 and that would be very tight.
Just depends on what you're looking for. We loved it! The food is excellent and the staff is very attentive. It's on the water and it is very quaint.

I looked there and thought it was great and the menu seemed fantastic.
A bit too small for me.
I don't even think they could fit the 180 they said they could.
But beautiful, especially during the day with those large windows

Re: San Saouci

we're getting married there also

fh and i LOVED the place as soon as we set our eyes on it. i guess you just know the place you've dreamed of the moment you find it.

it was the first place we looked and we thought it was so elegant. the dance floor is away from the tables, which is something i loved. it's not the traditional bride on one side and groom on the other side of the dance floor kind of thing. it gives you the feeling like it really is a joining of the two families...loved it loved it!!

if you have any questions let me know!

Re: San Saouci

I am a 2004 bride but was just looking over here and I am getting married at the Sans Souci.

Me and FH fell in love with this place b/c it is not the traditional catering hall that all of his cousins and friends have gotten married at.

We actually went to dinner there last Thursday and the food absolutely blew my parents, his parents, him and me away.

Even the presentation was awesome.

FM if you have any questions.

I'm going there in May for dinner. How was it, was it crowded?
I know you have to make reservations, should I do that now-
