Sand Castle

So for anyone interested, I went to a wedding at Sand Castle last night. FH was the best man and said the staff was amazing. Very on the ball and attentive to everyone in the bridal party and they had a HUGE bridal party. I think 13 on each side. Anyway, the food was fantastic although the cocktail hour seemed a little small to me. I didn't feel like there were that many options. But what was there was delicious! All in all the venue was beautiful and it was a great wedding. Anyone getting married there will have a fantastic wedding! Let me know if you have any specific questions.

I'm getting married there next June. I'm glad to hear that you had a great time. I have a large bridal party also (27 all together) so it is reassuring to know that the bridal party was taking care of.
I'm surprised to hear about the cocktail hour though. There were so many options on the list they gave us and a lot of the vendors have raved about the cocktail hour. I'm gonna have to look into this!

You are probably right jf418, there are different packages to choose from. I am doing the platinum package and I know my cocktail will be far from small.

But I am so glad to hear everyone loved it and had a good time as my worries are starting to kick in but I have yet to hear anything bad about the Sand Castle.

I have the Imperial menu. The viennese hour was included but not the martini bar. FH and and I are still debating it. I'm not sure if I want to spend the extra money if the martini bar is only for happy hour

I guess they are changing their regime???

I know when we booked in 2012 they only offered one package, the millenium. It included everything except: lobster on raw bar extra $6-7pp, Martini Bar extra $300-$500, and the chocolate fountains at viennese extra $300.

Maybe they are trying to attract a wider range of clients or something? I guess not everybody wants a fully loaded car lol.

I booked in February 2013 for my wedding 6/20/14. I'm wondering if they change the package name every year. lol They only offered the Imperial package when I went. Everything was included (Hospitality hour, cocktail hour, reception and viennese hour). I'm not sure about lobster price, I will have to look again. The martini bar is $750 and the chocolate fountain is $350.

I'm not worried though. Everyone I speak to says the Sand Castle has the best cocktail hour. I was just surprised by the first post of the thread saying the cocktail hour seemed small.

They didn't give me any options. They just said this is the package we have. It had everything I would have wanted without having to add anything extra on. I'm at work now but when I get home I will FM you the menu on my package.

Yah maybe they do change it every so on? I know they did make changes to the place and upgrades so maybe they changed the naming around and the packages. I booked in August 2012 but to be honest now I am not sure if I got all the extra stuff. I believe they gave us the martini bar, but I don't think I have a chocolate fountain. But I think I have the same as you 'Lisa and Steve'. Hospitality hour, cocktail hour, Viennese hour. But like you said I heard only good things about Sand Castle and the amount they did offer us is crazy and a lot more than other place so definitely no complaints.
