Re: Sand Castle honeymoon.....

we took the Crete honeymoon and loved it. yes there were Polish people and a few kids but not something that could get in the way of our honeymoon. we did go 1st week of September where school almost starts so maybe it was the timing?

If you go at the peak of summer vacation then expect to have a lot of people everywhere in that island because it's a popular vacation area (at the local airport, I noticed that there are a lot of European countries that have direct flight to Crete).

check out my review on Brides Review section.

I don't know why someone would lie about that though....if anything SC is losing money by us actually taking the vacation...unless they're going by word of mouth?

If the average wedding costs $40,000, with most wedding costing more, and SC has a package/connection/ownership with the hotel in Crete, they can't be losing money...

Well losing money in the sense that they'd rather us not go and eat/drink a week for free...I agree $40,000+ more than pays for it all

Re: Sand Castle honeymoon.....

Hopefully things will be better in 2014 when i'm going. We're not using it as our honeymood (since i always wanted to go to Disney for the HM), but were going to use it as my graduation trip for after residency is over.
But, as was said....its 'free'! Kids are going to be everywhere and as long as SOME people speak english, then i'm happy. Polish is nothing like italian or spanish iassume, so my knowledge of those languages wont help LOL

We booked with Sand Castle and told us that we can't get the honey moon cause the economy is bad...i'm a little upset with them cause it seems like everyone is still getting the honeymoon...
