I heard Sand Castle was expensive. Have never seen it though.
I went to a Bridal Showcase at Jericho Terrace & i thought it was beautiful!!

oh that's tough.
I went to a 200 person sweet 16 at sand castle. It was pretty great.
Went to an awesome wedding at JT too.
did one offer you more than the other?
remember SC only has 1 event at a time. That could be a big plus. In sort of a crappy area though.

Sandcastle was way more expensive than JT, although sandcastle did include the full seafood display and Viennese hour....I'm trying to think if people can even eat by that time

Personally, i don't like SC's surroundings...the Pathmark across the street is creepy too. JT has a classic yet modern feel and look which I love...IMO.

At one of the RHs we saw, FH asked for an estimate of how much food is usually left over at the end of a party. The guy thought 40% was a fair estimate.
Does the Sandcastle price include a honeymoon to Greece? I think I remember reading about that somewhere.
I remember seeing somewhere that there was an option for the Greece HM.. idk if its included in the price or another package..hmm

I've been to a lot of things at the Jericho Terrace and I really like it! I've never been to the Sand Castle so cant say much about it! Good luck!!

thank you ladies, the honeymoon to Greece is included at sandcastle w/o airfare....I got them down by 10 dollars from what they originally quoted me and that's still over budget =( I wasn't so crazy about the knights and Greek goddess statues though....

I've been to Jericho terrace several times, and I have nothing bad to say about the place. What sold me on sandcastle was that you have the whole place to yourself where JT has as much as 3 weddings at a time, and the inside of SC is really nice. I know its right on Franklin Ave, but the grounds it offers in the back are nice, and the area behind the hall isn't really that bad. A couple of tin man statues isn't going to make me not get married there.... just tell your photographer not to include them in the pics lol. I've always heard great things about the food, and service which to me is the biggest plus.... remember your not going to have your reception outdoors.

Sorry to lurk, but there isnt a 2013 board yet haha.
I personally think Sand Castle is amazing and my FH and I are pretty much 80% sure that is where we are going to have our wedding. The honeymoon is included and ive heard really good things about it! Yea, the area around the hall stinks....but i've seen worse and thats not something that would make or break it for me. Again, PERSONALLY, I think Jericho is a wedding factory. Nothing spectacular about it. My sister was at a wedding there a month or so ago and she said it was very nice but didnt have that WOW factor.
No matter where you pick, your day will be beautiful and you will have a blast!

Dividing the boards by years is useful for roughly grouping where people are in their planning. You're at the same point as many of us.
Your so sweet I kinda want a 2013 board...but i highly doubt there are many psycho's like me who plan 3 years in advance haha. As for where i am in my planning process, i'm still just looking at RHs, which is where i assume many of your are.
I hope planning is going well for everyone!

my best friend booked at sand castle...the do offer the honeymoon to greece...i booked at jericho terrace...which is less expensive than sand castle - food at both places are amazing!
