For anyone that had or will have the sand ceremony, where did you get the kit? I've been looking around and was so surprised that they are all over $50!!!! Is that the normal price, anyone find anything better?

Hi there -- I actually bought the sand at Michaels. And also bought the glass jars there too... we did the sand ceremony with my 2 children so we needed 4 pouring jars and 4 colors of sand... I paid about $30 total for everything , so for you would be less.. Michaels has nice glass jars with lids that you can use for the container to pour the sand into... and i used smaller glass jars for the pouring containers..

Yes. I used the sand ceremony and I got it from the Knot.com. But I like the idea about getting it from Michaels.

its like the unity candle...you each have a different color sand and you both pour the sand together into a glass vase. it symbolizes the unity of the bride and groom. we are doing it b/c we are getting married outside on a beach.

We bought ours on ebay. It was personalized with our names and date, and our names are on the pouring vessels as well. Here's a link! We paid $30 with shipping! I'm getting custom color sand from a seller on ebay because my colors are hard to match. You can buy sand from Michael's, but they didn't have big bags at all when I was there. I'm paying $20 with shipping for one pound each of 2 custom colors. Works for me! Ebay item Good luck! FM me if you have more questions!
