Is anyone doing this? I see a lot of people doing the unity candle and thats nice also but I am leaning more towards the sand ceremony. we will be including his dauther in it.
Does anyone have pics of what you used (preferably something inexpensive)

Re: Sand Ceremony
I'm not doing a sand ceremony but i have seen other brides buy two different colored sand bags, have them in their own vases and then you pour each of your vases into a larger vase.
You can purchase vases like this from save-on-crafts.com for around $5 each.
Something like this

Re: Sand Ceremony
We had a second private beach wedding ceremony on our honeymoon down in Sandals Antigua. I've attached some pics. It cost us $100 to do it - but I've seen the nesting vases on ebay for like $45-$50 bucks. The ceremony was so amazing & moving - I was so glad we did it!
Sorry it's so fuzzy...we used a sand frame. It came with nice glass cylinders and the funnel...we know how the frame displayed on a shelf in the dining room!!

Re: Sand Ceremony
we used this and it DID NOT work out as planned LOL... the top doesnt actually seal so im sure sand has spilled all over (my friend still has all of our stuff so i duno what it looks like)
and its impossible to pour at the same time since the hole is so small... a funnel would have worked wonders... i was laughing throughout the whole part bc it became so redic to try to pour into and i have like no sand of mine in it... so sad...

I thought about that when I saw it. I´m glad you posted. Especially since we are having his daughter help us, we would definitely need a funnel if we´re doing something like that.
I also really like the picture frame idea.

Re: Sand Ceremony
I don't have a pic of mine yet, but I didn't order it.
Mine was really inexpensive....I bought two small heart vases ($1.00 each) and a larger curvy vase (~$5) from Michaels. Then I bought silver stickers (sparkly letters) and put our names on the center vase. The stickers were $2.
Extremely inexpensive and still very nice...just have to buy sand. I learned from my sister's ceremony, it's better to be inexpensive...their sand got stuck and they were hitting the cases trying to get it out. Unfortunately her husband hit his vase right into the center one and took a big chip out of the top! If bought at Michael's, it's cheap and easy to replace if you choose too!

I would really love to do this for our ceremony but I have to see if it's A OK with the priest.
