Sandals?

Those of you going to sandals resorts, how did you pick which one you're going to and why?

I'm really contemplating going to one for the HM, but I'm so overwhelmed by all of the choices, I have no clue which one to pick!!!!

we're going to royal bahamian... we picked bc we wanted to go to the bahamas and it's there

We picked the St. Lucian Grande because
1. price
2. 3 resorts to hop back and forth to.
3. Prettiest beach
4. its warm in Jan.
5. Everyone I know has loved it.

we are going to sandals antigua. we chose it because:

1. it was something different. i don't usually hear someone say they have gone there
2. the new mediterranean village
3. voted the world's most romantic resort
4. only 15-20 minutes away from the airport
5. average temp in december is 82

we knew we wanted to go to St. Lucia so that made it easier for us to decide. Then we heard the Regency had a bit more of a nightlife and better restaurants than the Grande so that settled that.

We honestly never considered Halycon Beach bc it seemed way to secluded for us

us too!! Plus, it was affordable and we had friends that went there a number of times and loved it.

we did jamaica whitehouse bc we knew 4 different couples that had been there and all RAVED about it. our travel agent said it was the best one in jamaica. we wanted someplace warm in february and we thought it would be cool to go to all of the different resorts on the island (which we totally didnt do! haha). while we were there we met several couples, young and old, that keep going back to the whitehouse bc they love it so much. we had a blast!!!
ive heard wonderful things about st lucia and although its much more quiet and laid back, antiguilla too. good luck!!!!
no matter what, all inclusive is the way to go!

If you want to go to St. Lucia and are afraid of CATS avoid the Regency. I had great diffculties with that during dinner.
