Sandals and St Lucia

Anyone have any opinions on Sandals and in particular any of the 3 in St Lucia. We really like what we have seen so far but looking for some more opinions. If not the Sandals in St Lucia any other ideas for other locales.

thanks!!!

Only thing I can say is that I know a lot of people who went there and every single one of them have nothing but great things to say!

That's where we are going. W're staying at the Grande. Not sure where the people I know stayed for sure. I know a couple who stayed at the smaller resort because they wanted a smaller place that would be less crowded. We're staying at the Grande because we want luxury!

Re: Sandals and St Lucia

We went to St Lucia one year for my birthday. We met a ton of people on their honeymoon all staying at one of the Sandals. It was a lot of fun meeting them, but I could tell the hotel was just mobbed with newlyweds and it seemed like the party never ended there. If you want something a little more low key, I would stick with the Grande. HTH.

We booked the Halycon Resort with Sandals in St. Lucia. It's the oldest resort, but the most secluded and most beachy and that is what we were looking for.

Good luck!!!

We booked the Grande because we wanted the largest number of activities--I know we're going to want to DO stuff, not just sit on the beach all day. There will be beach sitting, but there will also be windsurfing, and aquabikes, and tennis, etc. But we don't play golf, so we didn't want to stay at the Regency, which seems to be golf-intensive. We want to try new things and have an active honeymoon without having to travel more once we're at our destination. Also, we wanted the luxury and the amazing surroundings, and we were told the Grande had the most of the three Sandals on St Lucia. Seems like it's the #1 honeymoon destination, though! Well, we'll enjoy meeting people, and next year we're going to go on a second honeymoon to Europe. That's our sighseeing honeymoon, Sandals is our 'relax and recharge' one.

We booked the Grande. We have heard nothing but good things about it. People told us to stay in either the Regency or the Grande. We thought the Grande was for us.

We are so excited cant wait to leave in 20 days!!!

a friend of mine stayed at the sandals in st. lucia and wasn't thrilled....she is in her late 20s and said the general crowd there was in 40s...if you are looking for a place to relax, I would suggest it, but they were looking for a little more nightlife- she said there wasn't really any.

Woo me and FH are looking to stay at Sandals in St. Lucia too!!!

Not sure what resort tho.. his godmother is a travel agent so she's doing all the legwork for us.. I'm sooo looking forward to it.
Best thing is we get her agent discount .

You guys do know that you can stay at one resort of Sandals and then take a shuttle to the other two...

We may be going for our be-lated HM! If we do book there it will be the Grande most likely.

Re: Sandals and St Lucia

we are booking the recency! The grand was a little too expensive but you can use all three. They are having a 40% off sale now. So our 'butler Suite' which was gonna cost 16K is only gonna cost 9K for 10 days. That is one of their top tier rooms but we priced it out for 7 days and it was about 6K I think...
