Sandals Antigua...

Has anyone ever been to this sandals?? I was looking places up for honeymoons and the mediterranean side of this resort looks gorgeous!!!... Has anyone gone what was your experience?

that's exactly the one we're looking into! I ordered the free brouchire & DVD & made FH watch it lol it had all the resorts but that's the one we liked best!

Sandals has some great packages... never been either but we are debating between Bahamas, Antigua or St. Lucia.

We stayed at Sandals Antigua for our HM in July. We stayed in the Mediterranean area and it was gorgeous! Loved the room, loved the service!

We went there for our HM and loved it. You definitely want to stay on the med. side, it's all pretty new and beautiful. I would go back in a heartbeat!

we went in 2008 for our HM and absolutely loved it! We stayed on the Caribbean side, and while it was older, we loved it. It's a bunch of 2 story buildings surrounded by beautiful gardens and trees and its right near all of the restaurants. The Mediterranean side is gorgeous, but if you want to save some cash, the Caribbean side is much cheaper (no butler or room service though, which was fine since we were so close to the restaurants and bars. Check in my album for pics, the place is so beautiful, the nicest beach I've been too! Good luck!

we stayed in Antigua for our honeymoon..It was beautiful.. The reason we picked Antiuga over St. Lucia was for the casino...a few feet away from the hotel.

I Highly recommend it if you want all couples, that to us was the downside.

We've been together 5 years (living together 4 1/2) and we travel a lot and felt this was too coupley. We like to do our own things at certain times of day (I usually get up earlier and have breakfast, he goes up to the room and takes a nap before dinner) We felt that people were not overly friendly unless you were with your significant other.

The bartenders were great at keeping me company. The night life worked out well for us since there was a casino..Sandals tends to shut down pretty early and we are night people.

The food was great, the resort immaculate. I would go back again if we went with a bunch of friends.

We booked Sandals Royal Bahamian. We were between St. Lucia or Bahamas but went with the Bahamas b/c we noticed the transfer time from the airport to the resort was really really long....Antigua looks beautiful also! They are having great deals now

we booked Antigua and can't wait!! Use tripadvisor for some reviews. The only thing I am having trouble with is the air fare havent booked yet to me over 1k to fly is expensive so annoying but I guess what are you gonna do.

I stayed in the Mediterranean side! We stayed in the Monte Carlo Oceanview Suite. The room was beautiful and the bathroom was huge. It's well worth the trip. I wish I could go back. The food was great and the grounds were amazing. Pictures from our trip are in my album. If you want any more information, feel free to FM me!

Us too - we went for 13 days 12 nights in Aug for our HM - stayed on the Med side & had the Monte Carlo Oceanview Suite - it was so amazing, plus we did a private destination wedding ceremony for just DH & I...OMG the best thing we ever did - it was beyond incredible, romantic & amazing! I have pics of the beach wedding in an album & a few HM pics mixed in w/ my reg wedding pic album if you'd like to take a look!!
