SANDALS Dunn's River Villagio

I'm thinking of booking it for the HM, have any of you ever been? Please tell me how you liked it, if so.

Also any idea what airport to fly into? Montego Bay? Negril? LOL..I dunno.

Thanks~

For Jamaica you fly into Montego Bay. Sandals will then transfer you by bus to Ocho rios - about a two hour drive.
Air Jamaica has non stop flight from Kennedy to Montego Bay.

Thanks, yes...I just found that but wasn't sure if Montego Bay was where I'd fly into or Ochos Rios, I couldn't find any flights there. Sandals is offering a HUGE promo now by the way. Maybe they always do..I dunno butit's 50% off right now and two nights free if you book 7!

FH and I are planning our honeymoon for there. We aren't going until November because we are moving September 1st.
We hear the flight situation isn't the greatest....but the Sandals resort itself is amazing...so we are thinking its worth it!

Well, I found on AIrJamaica and Expedia some non-stop flights ( about 3.5 hours) for about 1000, for round trips for both of us. That's in July so I'm guessing you'd do even better.

I heard that the bus ride isn't fun....at all. But I can imagine it would be awful if you had like a ten hour flight first!

I will let you know how it goes...I've read good things about it and from looking on tripadvisor.com it seems to be very highly recommended over some of the other Sandals in Jamaica by those that have been there.

I've read nothing but amazing things!!!!!!!!!
The selling point for us...FH can go Golfing and I can go Spa-ing!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

We both knew we wanted Jamaica but couldn't decide on where. I did my research, he did his and this was the only place we could agree on!!!

us too..I actually wanted to go to Australia but FH wouldn't hear of anything other than the Caribbean..

Dunns River seem sto have a LOT of variety with the water sports etc..and Dunns River Falls is supposedly the place to visit in Jamaica. What sold me is that there is a dolphin place nearby so we can swim with the dolphins! It also has better restaurants than the surrounding resorts, according to the reviews, but the cool thing is we can travel to all of them if we want too.

I would just love to hear from someone who can verify all this..LOL

I did hear NOT to leave the resort alone though..

The dolphin swim sold us...we saw it on the travel channel!!!!!!!
We were also told not to leave the 'compound'.
I wish we could go right after the wedding, but due to our move we have to wait until November.

Your gonna love it there. I don't Know about the resort but the Island alone is good. Make sure you climb the waterfall when you go to 'Dunns River'

We absolutely LOVED Sandal's Dunns River.

We flew Air Jamaica from Kennedy into Montego Bay. We easily found our bus to Dunns River. The bus ride was nice...scenic...long...they stop at restrooms and take a break...took over an hour to get there...but well worth the wait!

Climb Dunn's River! Get Massages on the beach. Swim with the dolphins!

Enjoy!
Nicole
