Sandals Honeymoon - Hurricane guarantee??

I was at the travel agent this weekend booking my bachlorette party and the agent told me that sandals does not do the hurricane guarantee anymore? I did not go into detail with her since I havent booked yet...does anyone know about this?? I cant check the web (blocked @ work)

i know that if sandals doesnt do it anymore, there is a new type of insurance you can purchase through travel pleasures i think it is and they cover your whole trip if you cancel for any reason up until the day you leave it was about $130 each extra HTH

If you book through Tom at Amex travel, you can purchase travelers insurance and they will cover for any reason. And it's cheap. So worth it.

There was apost on here a month or so ago about this. I will have to see if I can find it.

There was another bride who traveled to Jamaica during hurricane season and there was indeed a storm. They did giver her vouchers to come back, but not at her convenience it was during hurricane season. It also only covered the cost of the hotel, not the flight.

the old guarantee is no longer on the site----it instead says that you can purchase travel insurance for $99 a person

FH and I were looking at Hawaii and Mexico. We are leaning toward mexico because we want to leave immediately after our wedding.

Look into western Mexico if you want to avoid hurricanes.

When where you planning on going? A lot of hotels started doing away with the Hurrican Policies because Travel Insurance is so inexpensive and can include your airline tickets not just your hotel stay.

we have HM insurance and it does cover hurricanes and we are going to sandals...we booked thriugh AAA...would that make the difference?

Ive been to Hawaii so I dont want to do that for our honeymoon. FH was saying Cabo..but Im not sure how the weather is there

we were planning on going after our wedding that week or the following week...I guess if we can do travelers insurance somewhere else than its OK. Do they refund you your money?
