Have any of you made a registry through Sandals? I'm trying to figure out how the gifts work lol.. do you get an e-mail if an excursion is bought off your registry and then schedule it with someone though sandals for your vacation?

Sandals Honeymoon Registry
I did a sandals registry. If someone gets you anything other then a contribution towards the balance of your trip you have to wait until you get there to book it. When people give you contributions toward your trip you can have them either send you a check or have it direct deposited into a bank account, then you pay your travel agent or however you booked. They email you every time someone gives you something with a generic 'you received a gift' email.
I liked the way it worked and I think it was pretty easy for people to give gifts on. I would just recommend that if you want people to give you gifts on there keep traditional registrys small and kind of spread the word or have your fam and bridal party spread the word that you want people to give towards that.

thanks for the info :) I didn't go any trip contribution gifts on there, just candlelight dinner, helicopter transfer, snuba, ziplining, and a few other excursions... I told my sister about it though, so hopefully I get a couple of things from it :)
I like that you get emails everytime you get a gift though. That way I can contact my travel agent and figure it all out in my schedule

You just use Registry.sandals.com... After u book your honeymoon you'll get a booking number and that's what u use on the registry to link everything up

I didn't. We thought about it but we don't live together yet and there are so many things we really NEED. However, my cousin did it and she loved getting those gifts and it gave them something to look forward to after the wedding!

I did it and I was able to book the excursions we got before the honeymoon. You would have to with the helicopter transfer. We got it and it was awesome!

@cets- definitely go into the volcanoes and do the mud bath- I did the tour through Sandsls but from what I've heard joe knows tour is better - zipping there is a must- that I would do through Sandsls

I went to La Toc in st Lucia a few years ago and we did the joe knows tour and it was awesome! You see a lot of the island and do a bunch of stuff so it's really cool. We also did zip lining which was a lot of fun and horse back riding which was nice but I felt bad for the horses.
We didn't do it but I've heard from other people that the helicopter ride to the resort is really cool. The ride there otherwise is very long and a little scary and your really crammed in a van.

Joe Knows is something we have to book when we get there right? I heard amazing things about it!
So far, we put the helicopter transfer, a luxury car transfer, zip lining, snuba, a candlelight dinner, and the manager's wine cellar thing... I think we will leave it at that and book Joe Knows when we get there :)

Yes! Guys on the beach are selling joe knows tour...sounds a little shady, but its well-known and everyone loves it! Quick question though, so it the heli transfer for one way and the luxury car the other way? Heli transfer is definite!! The candlelight dinner is one of the best things so thats a def also!

We booked the Joe Knows tour through the tour desk at Sandals, I wouldn't trust the people on the beach.
I don't know how long you plan on going for but you're definitely going to want to have time to just relax on the beach or by the pool so I wouldn't book too many excursions. Just my opinion :)

Yea the heli one way, car the other way... We will be there for 7 days. So snuba, zip lining and joe knows should be a good amount of excursions I think :)
