I know everyone is mentioning about st.lucia how about the sandals resort in just the bahamas? Does anyone know i have to take a small plane to the island or can i do a boat ride from maimi?
I am kinda scared to fly in general and i can manage a regular plane but i doubt a small plane.

I just went to the Sandals resort in the Bahamas last week - we took a direct flight out of NYC (LGA) on a jet plane for about 2.5-3 hours that landed directly in Nassau and then it was about a 15 minute drive from there to the resort.

We flew USAir down and Delta back - Delta was much more comfortable. JetBlue also flies down there, but I have issues with them since they cancelled our original flight.

I'm happy to help! If you want comfortability and entertainment to get your mind off flying, fly Jet Blue - you watch TV all the way down.
If you want pure comfortability to sleep on the way down, I suggest Delta!

IMO bohemian is better that the grande in st lucia
the flying time is def better so is the commute from airport to hotel!

Bahamas is actually north of Key West so most airlines fly direct there from either NYC or Miami and no small planes really

She just went there (i love your posts bt the way betsy) I'm SOOOOO glad everything worked out.
Anyway - Bahamas is great :) I was engaged at that Sandals.
ewickens and I used same TA. Leslie @ Travel Solutions. FM for more details - She was GREAT!

Jet blue goes right in, and Im a chicken when it comes to flying.. the tv's made it soooooooooooooooooooo much better!
I cant wait to go back, its SOOO pretty!

I just got back from our honeymoon there, it was beautiful!! The resort was so close to the airport, it only took aboutr 15 minutes to get there once we landed! FM me if you have any more questions!!

We just decided that we want to go there for our HM...We were originally going to go to Key West b/c I am TERRIFIED of flying. Does anyone know if you can take a boat from Miami and how long it is?

I went to Sandals in Bahamas for my honeymoon. It was beautiful! We flew JetBlue direct flight from JFK to Nassau Bahamas and then drove 10-15 minutes to the hotel. The flight was only about 2 hours and 45 minutes at most. Nice and Easy!!

I am not sure on this but the flight is not that much longer then miami. Its only about 15 minutes more then direct to miami. I asked this question on the Bahamas and was told a fast boat can get you there in 3-4 hours. Not sure how but this is what I was told when I asked.
I think that we are going to book Sandals in Bahamas. And Puerto Rico. Can't wait

The Sandals in the Bamahas is supposed to be gorgeous! I have heard great things about it!
As far as St. Lucia - OMG! IT IS SOOOOOOOOO GORGEOUS!!! We went there for our HM and stayed @ the Regency!
Sandals Antigua is supposed to be one of the best as well! They just opened up a whole enw section with new suites that is opening next month! We're going there in July and staying in the new section!

I went the last week of march for my HM and I loved it. We flew non stop from LGA we flew with Delta and it was a good flight in fact we got there 30 mins early . The service was wonderful and the food was yummy. I just wished it would have been warmer. We cant wait to go back. And i do need to put some pics up.

I just booked sandals bahamas!!!!! I know a few people that have been there and they said it was beautiful!! NO COMPLAINTS!!!!!!
Im pretty excited now to go!!!! You can beat the place or price......GO FOR IT!!!!!
