Sandals Montego Bay

Anyone ever been there? FH and I have been looking into it a lot and we think we're gonna book but before we do, I just wanted to see if anyone has been there and what they thought of it... Thanks!

I just got back from Dunn's River and we past montego bay on the way to Ocho Rios. Montego Bay is in a very congested area. I'd look into Negril or Whitehouse

I've been to Sandals Montego Bay--it's the original Sandals and was a bit run down when we were there. Also, the airport is right there and planes fly right overhead which bothers some people. The staff was very friendly and food was decent. A lot to do right around there. Unless they've updated the place, I'd recommend trying another Sandals for a honeymoon.

I went there in January when Sandals did a 1 day test drive. I personally would not choose to stay there-- it looked very run down. The rooms were gorgeous and the food was great, but the beach was small and not very nice. We booked Negril and I can't wait to go!!!

Thanks for your input - We actually wound up booking with Whitehouse just 2 days ago and I'm really happy about the decision. I kinda feel better now knowing that more people are saying this about Montego Bay, because I was afraid I would regret not going there. I've heard great things about Whitehouse though and I'm really excited!

if you are planning on a Jamaican honeymoon you should really check out www.couples.com. It is an all-inclusive, couples only resort and they have locations in Ochos Rios, San Souci, and Negril.

FI and I went last November to Couples Swept Away and it was by far the best vacation either one of us has ever been on. So relaxing, the people there are so friendly, and there are lots of different places to eat and things to do.
