So I have been looking into honeymoons lately. Is it true that Sandals does not let anyone(travel agents or online) discount their prices? I was told this by a travel agent and just wanted to hear your input!
Also, if you are staying at or have stayed at Sandals St. Lucia(Regency or Grande), can you let me know which room/suite and how you felt about it. I want to go for about 10 or 11 nights, but it makes the suites go up so high and I think the regular room just might not be big enough. Ughhh I'm confused about what to do.
I appreciate any information you can share with me!

Re: Sandals Question
Not sure about the pricing but we stayed at the Regency in the La Toc Deluxe Room and it was alright. We had an opportunity to upgrade prior to the honeymoon and we did not take it and I did regret when we got there. We could have asked for another room but DH was fine with it and I was just being picky about things. Our room was not close to the main building and it was nice an quiet, but I wish we had a balcony; it was my own fault for not upgrading so I can't really complain.
We did enjoy our stay at the Regency but the next time we go back we definitely want to stay at the Grande, it was my favorite resort out of the three in St. Lucia.

Re: Sandals Question
Thanks so much for your input!! I am torn because I really like the Grande, but we will be able to get a suite at the Regency. It makes me happy to know that we can hop around though!

Re: Sandals Question
if you are choosing between regency or grande, i would say the grande. i liked it because the guests were generally around my age. the regency was a little older. I also liked the rooms at grande better. they were literally on the beach, where some at regency were not.

Re: Sandals Question
I am torn too- at the regency we would be able to get an awesome room- at the grande w would just get a basic room-
3 of my cousins each went to there honey moon there. 2 stayed at regency and 1 stayed at grande. the 2 at regency said the like the regency better because it had more activities and it was a little more lively- is that true?

Re: Sandals Question
My travel agent told me that the Regency is more active, whereas the Grande is mixed with both quiet and active. SO confusing!! However, I don't really think I want a regular room for our honeymoon. UGH!!! I wish I had an unlimited amount of money.

Re: Sandals Question
We were looking into sandals too! I don't know about additional discounts, but their 65% sale is ending today...don't know if/what theyre going to do after that. We were going to stay at the Regency in St. Lucia or Anitgua. If youre set on St. Lucia maybe you can split the trip up between the Regency and the Grande to help offset the cost a little and still enjoy the suites.

Re: Sandals Question
Hmmm that is true and is definitely an option! Thanks! Ummm that sale on their website is basically all marketing. They will extend that sale and/or come up with a new one. I think there is always SOME sort of sale going on to get people to book faster.
Thanks for your reply!!

When we visited the Grande it was a little quiet but I'm sure each day is different, we went there was a photo shoot on the beach so a lot of the areas were off limits. We did notice a lot more older couples at the Grande but the younger couples may have been out on tours at that time of the day.
The Regency was always lively night and day with the playmakers and dj.

Re: Sandals Question
That makes sense to me. I would rather a lively night life and younger people! :)

Re: Sandals Question
We're staying at the Grande.. I visited the Regency for a day last year while on a cruise and it was really nice too.. It definately was a tough decision..
And yes.. Sandals doesn't allow anyone to discount their prices... If you find someplace that is less that what Sandals offers on their website... they are basicaly taking it from their commission... (and Sandals frowns on that).
