Thinking about honeymooning at the sandals in St. Lucia. Anyone have any feedback on what it is like?? Its a 5 star all inclusive resort. Any info any of you might have will be greatly appreciated. Thanks!!

Re: Sandals St. Lucia
I've heard some awesome things from co-workers. The atmosphere is supposedly beautiful. They highly recommended touring the rain forest and the drive through volcano. I haven't heard a bad thing to be honest. Friends have commented that the food and drinks are great and the atmosphere is soooo romantic.
Good luck

It supposedly one of the best sandals (there are actually 2 in St. Lucia.....I researched the Golf & Spa)
Unfortunately it is also one of the most expensive all inclusives as well.

Which one? We are planning on staying at Sandals Grande. There are 2 others. I;ve heard good things about the hotels and the island in general.
When you stay at one you can use the facilities at all of them!
I can't wait!!!

Re: Sandals St. Lucia
We are going to Halycon Sunday for our one year anniversary.
I will let you know. But do a search on newlywed board b/c I asked about it. And the girls who have gone gave good feedback. There are 3 The Grande is the newest one. I wanted that one but it was booked and more expensive. I have been told the Halycon is more low key couple quiet. The Regency is more a party type.

Two of my GM went there on their honeymoons last year (first week of Nov and last week of Nov). Both couples had the same opinion: average to below average food, only buffet and not many choices of where to eat, not private, service decent but nothing to rave about, beaches clean, weather great, excursions fun - overall average vacation, both couples had fun, neither would go back. They didn't feel it was worth the money and wasn't as nice as they hoped their hm would be.

The Regency definitely was a party atmosphere. The restaurants were great! It was very romantic. My hubby and I weren't looking to make any friends though. We weren't antisocial...I mean we chatted with people, but we saw the same people together throughout the whole week! We couldn't understand why they would want to be with another couple all the time, and not just each other. But it was great

I thinik it depends on what sandals they stayed at. I think maybe they didn't know that there were other restaurants on the premises??? There were like 5-6 restaurants on each I believe, and they weren't buffet. I thought the food was great.

Re: Sandals St. Lucia
Everything I have heard so far about St. Lucia has been above and beyond. Sandals is the most reputable all inclusive resorts. I love the idea that its all couples, and that we can choose from all restaurants at all 3 resorts. I have been indecisive between st. lucia or aruba but i guess it's a no brainer.
which of the three is the most expensive?

Danielle and I went to the Grande St Lucian in August of this year for our Honeymoon. There is only one word I can use to describe the service, room, beach, pools, atmosphere, and food.....Amazing.
It is worth the money. We upgraded to a room with room service, tile floor and a full bar and it was one of the best things we did on that trip. We didnt leave the grand at all...we stayed there and enjoyed all the resort had to offer us. I totally recommend staying at the grande st lucian, and when you get there go to the bar and order a BBC yummmmmmmmy. Scott

We stayed at the Halcyon for our honeymoon (there are three resorts...and you 'stay at one, play at all three') It was incredible! The weather was perfect, the atmosphere was perfect and the staff was so incredible and nice. I would go back in a heartbeat if we could afford it! It was the perfect honeymoon - everything I always hoped it would be!!
