Sandals St. Lucia?

Hi everyone,

Has anyone ever done sandals in St Lucia? I am thinking of booking our honeymoon with the Grande and wanted to know if it is nice. I went onto trip advisor last night and there were quite a few negative reviews for the regency and not as many negative reviews for the grande.

Help!

We honeymooned at the Grande and it was INCREDIBLE! The place was all we dreamed of and more. You cannot go wrong with it.

We went to the Regency twice and it is very nice as well. It depends on the type of atmosphere you are looking for.

My relatives have been there and all loved it. We HM'd in St. Lucia but not at Sandals. Whenever we encountered couples from a Sandals, they all seemed to be honeymooners. My guess is there are a lot of honeymooners there, but not sure if that is a big deal. We decided to stay at an all-inclusive right between the Pitons. It was the Jalousie Hilton when we were there but got bought by the Le Sport resort company.

We stayed at Sandals Grande in St Lucia for our honeymoon. It was AMAZING!!! We had a swim up pool room and it was soo nice! I didnt like the Regency I felt that the main building and pool seemed squished and everything else seemed far away. I met a couple that was supposed to stay at the Regency and switched to the Grande. There are a lot of honeymooners....i think we met two couples that were not on their honeymoon but I thought that was nice. You cant go wrong with Sandals Grande.

My Financee and I stayed at the Grande this past May.....It was great! Much better than the Regency. The Halcyon is supposed to be pretty good too. Everyone came to the Grande for the beaches. There is a shuttle that goes to all three resorts. I would recommend getting a room on the Bay side not the Ocean side. It's a better view and more activities to see. I would also recommend a visit to the Ladera for lunch. It has a restaurant with the best views of the Pitons. If you want more info, just fm me. You won't regret going to Sandals the service is 5 star and the food is delicious!!!! Good luck!

...here was my post:

I just got back last week from my honeymoon in St. Lucia!! We stayed at the Sandals Grande. I loved it!!!
We visited the Regency and the Halcyon, but we were happy we chose the Grande. Each hotel has something different about it, so it all depends on what you like.

The Regency has the most restaurants (make your reservations as soon as you get there for the major restaurants: La Toc (French), Kimonos (Japanese), etc..) and is located on a bluff. It is a HUGE resort and you need a shuttle to get you from your room to the main pool and restaurants if you are planning on staying on the bluff. I guess you can walk, but from people we spoke with they said it was pretty far. The Regency has the most night life though. We hung out there one night and had a great time!

The Halcyon is just the opposite and is pretty small. It has 3 restaurants (I think) and is more low key. Still nice though. We went to dinner at The Pier (very good..you need reservations) and Marios (Italian..delicious!).

The Grande where I stayed was fabulous! Everything about it was great! It is located on the Carribean Ocean so the beach was nicer than the other resorts in my opinion....as was the pool. They had all of the water sports at the Grande and we met tons of people who would take the trip to our resort every day to hang out in the pool and do the sports. They had activities going on all day and night...but once it hit around 10:00ish, the place died down somewhat. That is the only down fall. The Regency like I said has a much better night life.

You can't go wrong with any of the Sandals! It was great! You are going to have the most wonderful time!! I have pics of the Grande, and a couple of the Regency & Halcyon. I'll try to post them this weekend sometime.
