Has anyone ever done sandals in St Lucia? I am thinking of booking our honeymoon with the Grande and wanted to know if it is nice. I went onto trip advisor last night and there were quite a few negative reviews for the regency and not as many negative reviews for the grande.
Help!

Re: Sandals St. Lucia?
We're going there! I've spoken to so many people lately who have gone there, and who have stayed at the Grande and have not had 1 bad thing to say about it. We cannot wait!

Re: Sandals St. Lucia?
We're honeymooning on St. Lucia as well and received a cd brochure of Sandals, which was really informative and helpful. You might want to call them and ask for it - or go online and request it.
Regarding reviews - picking a honeymoon place has been the ONLY stressful part of the whole planning process - because with the internet there is just TOO MUCH information out there. There are always going to be negative reviews of places - but you dont know who wrote them. I have relatives who are really difficult travelers and if the air conditioning isnt at arctic level, then they would say that their trip was a disaster, so you have to take negative reviews with a grain of salt.
Going through the brochure and the website, I thought the grande looked fantastic!
we're most likely going to stay at a different resort - Anse Chastanet - another all inclusive, just much much smaller than sandals - 49 rooms - we realized we wanted something small and secluded.
There is also Le Sport Body Holiday - an all inclusive that has TONS of activities and everyday you get a spa treatment.
But I thought that Sandals looked great and I have to think it's so popular for a reason - have a great time!

Re: Sandals St. Lucia?
We stayed there for our honeymoon and it was fine. Honestly though if I had to do it over again I would have stayed at the Regency. There was very little nightlife at the Grande and after the first couple days we were looking for something to do. The one night we went to the Regency it was much more hopping.
BUT you have to take into consideration the time of year we were there. Not a lot of people get married in February so there were not a whole lot of honeymooners.
The food was okay, but plentyful and the booze flowed.
We staying in a honeymoon lagoon swim up room with I HIGHLY recommend.

We loved it at the Grande! I highly recommend it. The people were nice, the food was good ( you have to try the crepes at Jospehines) and the drinks were good too!
