Has anyone stayed at the Sandals Grande St. Lucia for their honeymoon. The resort gets a lot of good reviews, but there are a bunch of bad ones too. We were all set on staying there for part of our honeymoon but are now having second thoughts.

Re: Sandals St. Lucia
I went to a wedding at La Toc last summer. We had a blast at the resort. It is a pricey trip, bc it's Sandals, but well worth it! The resort was quiet, romantic. There was not much of a nightlife, I think the other Sandals resorts had more going on at night. The food was great (esp Italian restaurant). We went on excursions, like the catamaran day trip to the volcano and beaches and zip-lining. A great trip, a beautiful resort, super customer service!

Sandals is sandals no matter what island. They are a good company and cater to the needs of their customers.

Re: Sandals St. Lucia
We just got back from our honeymoon last week and we went to Sandals Regency in St. Lucia. While we were on our honeymoon everyone that had went to Grande had said that the people there weren't as friendly and it was a much quieter. But Grande has the nicer beach. I think it just depends what your looking for. The Regency was a younger crowd with more nightlife.

I have heard wonderful things-- except that the nightlife is kind of dead-- if you don't care about that then you should be okay!

Re: Sandals St. Lucia
The first four days we were there we were stuck in Tropical Storm Emily so they wouldn't let us swim. After the storm cleared though we went in the ocean and swam. It is a little wavy, but nothing bad. I'm not a strong swimmer and I was okay. We stayed in the basic honeymoon room. I'm about to post honeymoon pics in an album and you can see the resort there!!

we are leaning towards La Toc. What room did you stay in? We are having trouble deciding between luxury, concierge or butler rooms.

We stayed in the Sunset Royal Oceanfront 2-Story Villa Suite with private pool. The butlers are key to a stress free HM!!

We went there and ABSOLUTELY LOVED IT!!! The beach was amazing, so relaxing and clear. The pool was so much fun --- swim up bar drinks were flowing all the time haha. All the food was SOO delicious! We absolutely LOVED it. let me know if you have specific questions --- I also wrote about it in my review
