Has anyone been to either the La Toc or the Grande? FH and I are booked at the La Toc and I am freaking out because I have been reading bad reviews online all of a sudden. FH and I chose La Toc over the Grande because we were told the La Toc had more of a younger honeymoon crowd. I started to think of switching to the Grande after these bad reviews popping up, but now I am seeing some negative reviews of the Grande as well. Has anyone been there?
Thanks!

Re: Sandals St. Lucia
Some people say they are both amazing but this is why we did not book sandals. We canceled it after reading so many mixed reviews. I have heard people rave about it so you can't always go by what you read. You have to go by what seems like the right place.
We stayed at an AMAZING place in St. Lucia overlooking the Caribbean Sea. Not inclusive but it worked for us anyhow. It has a full kitchen with a housekeeper who washes all your dishes and makes the bed every morning. It was very affordable and felt like we were in paradise!
Both of my cousins went and absolutely loved it. It was a few years ago. I was planning on booking it myself but haven't researched it yet.

From what I understand, if you stay at one you can 'play' at all the other Sandals. I've heard great things about St. Lucia and about Sandals but I'm looking to go mid July and I'm worried about the weather in the carribean. I see that your wedding is right before mine, are you going in July? if so what have you heard about the weather?

I have heard that there is a chance of rain during the summer months, but that they are generally quick showers.

Re: Sandals St. Lucia
We went for our honeymoon in June. We stayed at La Toc and had an amazing time. It did rain almost everyday but it was usually short and the sun came right out afterwards. Half the time we didnt care anyways since we were in the pool. The restaurants were good. Wasn't impressed with the french place, even though that is supposed to be one of their premeire restaurants.
Definitly a great choice, you will have a great time. Message me if you have any questions.

Re: Sandals St. Lucia
My husband and I did our honeymoon at Sandals Grande in ST. Lucia in August and loved every single second of it. We took the shuttle over to La Toc for dinner one night and it truly just depends on what you are looking for. The grounds at La Toc are a little bigger and we weren't crazy about taking a 'shuttle' to dinner (although we chose to walk back after dinner it wasn't a far walk just not close together). We also LOVED the beach at the Grande. They had floating water hammocks, PRICELESS. If you have any questions feel free!! It is very true that there is practically NO night life. A few couples we met there went to the 'palladium night club' one night and there were about 12 people there. We booked another Sandals vacation for our anniversary and if it was up to me we'd be going back to the Grande but my husband wants to 'try something new' *sigh
*in regards to weather I guess we just got lucky. It only rained once when we were there. We were also supposed to get hit with the hurricane and it completely by-passed us. We woke up to sunny skies.

Re: Sandals St. Lucia
Truthfully, I wouldnt worry too too much about bad reviews. People are always more likely to write about a bad experience rather than a good experience. You're gonna be in paradise with your new hubby... how bad could it possibly be?!

You can always google the climate in St lucia. That will give you an idea about the weather.
