Sandals St. Lucia Grande January 2008
DH and I went to Sandals from 1/14 to 01/21. It was an AMAZING honeymoon and I recommend it to anyone!
Our room was amazing - the workers are SO NICE. The weather was beautiful and the views were breathtaking!
We basically woke up every morning and ate a huge yummy breakfast. Then we spent our days by the pool or on the beach. We rented hobie cats and jet skis. We took a great hike to the top of pigeon island. We went to this great BBQ place almost every day for lunch. And we had some great dinners too! We did a couples massage that was out of this world and the candlelight dinner on the beach was very romantic.
All inclusives are AMAZING! I loved it! Our honeymoon was the perfect mixture of romance, relaxation and fun.
I would DEFINITELY go back but I wanted to share some of the negatives:
The food at the bayside and barefoot by the sea was REALLY GOOD! However, if you have had italian food EVER in your life then skip Toscanini's.
We ventured to the Regency one night and the workers there were nasty to us!
The nightlife kind of stinks. THANK GOODNESS that we were there with Rachel and Keith (rachie) - it was the first time we met ( at JFK) but we hung out every day and had a LOT of fun together. We stayed in the pub while the boys played pool or just hung out. We even tried to liven up the weak nightclub LOL
oh yeah we flew into the larger airport. The ride to Sandals was horrible. We were in a small van and stuck in it for TWO hours during rush hour. I dreaded the van ride the whole week BUT THEN the way back they gave us a nice bus and it was a little more than an hour and so much more comfortable!! So, for us it was a good decision to get a direct flight.
Here are some pictures, feel free to FM me with any questions!
