Anyone have a honeymoon packing list? lol.. also, what do the guys have to wear to dinner every night? Is it formal attire?
I don't have a list but I'm doing a Sandals resort too and only one of the restaurants in Antigua is formal, the rest say resort casual. If you check out the restaurants on the sandals website it lets you know. I'm planning on doing maxi dresses for the formal I don't want to get too dressed on my relaxing honeymoon lol.
We went there over Christmas/New Years for our honeymoon. There are only 2 restaurants that require reservations and I think those are the only ones that are formal (require pants for men, no jacket required anywhere- we saw several men turned away from their reservation for wearing 'fancy' shorts). It was VERY HOT and HUMID even in December, so my husband and I had to go back to the room so he could put on shorts every time we had a formal reservation. We stayed for 10 nights and did 3 formal restaurants, la toc (french) once and kimono's (hibachi) twice. We would have done la toc again, but they had a HUGE new year's eve party the last night we were there and all the restaurants closed and did a party (more like a wedding) buffet style by the pool. Advice: do not make a dinner reservation Friday night. They do a 'street party' that's amazing, was only surpassed by the New Year's Eve party. It is buffet style with tons of food, drinks, and great entertainment. We had our La Toc reservation around 8:30 that night and dreaded leaving the street party to go (but it was well worth it...delicious food!)
