Re: Sandals Thread!!
I went to the Grande in St. Lucia for my honeymoon. It was great. All the food was really good. we ate mostly at the Grande and only went to Halcyon for one meals.
At the Grande: Barefoot by the Sea: Open for lunch and dinner. We went twice for dinner. Mostly a seafood menu but I had the surf and turf twice (filet mignon and garlic shrimp-yummy!)
Bayside: Mostly buffet at lunch. We went to their outdoor buffet dinner one night - great food but a bit spread out so you had to walk alot.
Toscanini's - Italian. Good food. Excellent service. Can't remember what I had for dinner.
Olde London Pub - The only place we really didn't like. OK food if you like butter sauces.
Room service - We were in a concierge suite so we were able to get breakfast in our room every morning. Highly recommend it.
At Halcyon: The Pier- Another mostly seafood restaurant. Reservation required (make them as soon as you get there). Good food again. Great view.
We went on the 2-hour horseback riding tour. It was nice but the beach you stop at is kinda sleazy. There were guys dealing drugs there. Not cool.
I loved the Grande. We had a Honeymoon beachfront suite with a nice balcony. we were going to get one of the swimup pool rooms but after seeing them I'm glad we didn't. They looked nice but whenever we walked around the pools there were tons of lizards and frogs in the pools and on the walkways. But if you are looking for a place that is really quite these rooms are for you. The pools were hardly ever used and people mostly hung out at the beach.

Re: Sandals Thread!!
Sara, we are doing that. Flying to San Juan from St. Lucia to go on a 7 day cruise. (not with friends or anything but just us) I booked my own air b/c it was alot cheaper. Also Sandals wouldn't really give me a package flying one way or anything like that. I would have had to book roundtrip even though I wasn't going home after the week in Sandals. I booked American Airlines online for the entire flight package.

Re: Sandals Thread!!
We went to the Grande St. Lucian and we loved it so much that we plan to go back for our 2 year anniversary! We had a regular room, but still had breakfast delivered every morning to our room. Barefoot by the sea was my favorite restuarant! At the surf and turf many times (steak and lobster) so delicious! It is the paradise that a honeymoon should really be. ENJOY!
