Re: sandels vs. couples
I looked into both for our honeymoon. While both look awesome, I didn't like that sandals doesn't have waiters on the beach unless you are in a butler room. Where Couples has them there to wait on you hand and foot. LOL- that was important to me. But tripadvisor has great reviews on both!!

Re: sandels vs. couples
we went to the Sandals Whitehouse in Jamaica when it first opened. Pics in my album.
It was VERY nice, amazing weather, love the all inclusive but the food was not fantastic. the Whitehouse location is 60-90 min from the Negril airport. Scariest drive ever, They drive like lunatics. But anyway, that location is for people who want to do nothing but chill. Its not in a city like the Negril or Ochos Rios or Montego Bay. Its in the mid of nowhere. We loved it though. Perfect if yo just want to lay on a beach & drink something frozen. Not great if you are a sight seeing type
oh and we got the butler, which I def recommend. Totally worth the $.

I didn't go to Sandals in Jamacia but I did go to the one in St. Lucia- I have a review and pics (DH and I had such a great time- no complaints here!) up on the brides review and also a link to my HM pics there as well.
It was so beautiful and DH and I had a great time- everything- the service and staff were so nice and helpful as well.

a friend of mine went to both, and in her opinion she prefers couples by far better than Sandals. She says in her opinion sandals is too commercialized and that couples is a lot more discreet and intimate...you get the true feeling at Jamaica a little more. hth

Re: sandels vs. couples
I know a couple who had their wedding last year at Sandals Negril then wanted to extend their stay a few extra days and Couples was the only place available to accommodate them. They ended up liking Couples a lot better!

Re: sandels vs. couples
I was bored at worked and looked up some reviews on tripadvisor. Couples def seems to have more positives. It sounds like they are more intimate and have more of an authentic feel. As well as more personal service. Sandals seem to be bigger and have more dining options. Sounds like you have to pay more there for better service though. Both seem to have a lot of included activities and airport transfers.
HTH!

we just went to couple san souci in ochos rios jamaica and it was great! there were waiters on the beach, food everywhere. and good food. we got a comp. massage that sandals doesnt include. couples includes some trips and watersports that sandals doesnt. check tripadvisor.com for reviews.
