Sans Souci??
I went to Sans Souci and fell in love with it. I'm concerned that it might be too small, though. My guest list is already at 150 and I'm afraid if it goes any higher we will be too cramped to enjoy ourselves. Has anyone been to or held their wedding at Sans Souci? How many people were there? I welcome any other good or bad comments, as this is such a big decision. Thanks!

Re: Sans Souci??
I went to a wedding there--she had about 150 people (maybe more) It was slightly cramped (but not uncomfortable) as far as table placement but the dance floor and garden cocktails were not crowded at all. The wedding was really beautiful and the food was good. Nice waiters too.

Re: Sans Souci??
We had our wedding reception at the Sans Souci this past May 11, 2002 and I would truly recommend them. The price was right, we had an outdoor cocktail hour and the service and attention was plentiful. It was the prefect place for what we were looking for – a place that catered to only 1 wedding at a time and was small and by the water. We had a total of 13 tables – some were 8-, others 10- and 2 of them were 12-person. All totaled, we had 115 adults and 7 children. I think the place is perfect for those who have guests less than 125. And as much as I love the place and enjoyed it, I would not recommend it for over that number. We went to a showcase that had 140 people, and it seemed a little cramped. I hope I’ve helped and please email me if you have any other questions. Here's a picture we took outside on the grounds near the Sans Souci:

Re: Sans Souci??
Thanks for your help. I'm visiting them again tonight and will ask to see a floor plan for how they would seat 150. It breaks my heart to think I might have to find another place...but I guess I have to keep an open mind

Re: Sans Souci??
Don’t give up hope. They can accommodate up to like 175!! When we booked them, we had booked them on the premise we would have about 160 people. Unfortunately we got a lot of no responses, so we had less than originally planned for. Keep that in mind!! Plus, you can use tables of 12, where as we used more tables of 10’s. It’ll work out, keep an open mind and let us know how you made out. Say hi to Carol for me if she's the one your dealing with - we were Trish and Dan on May 11th!!

Re: Sans Souci??
Hi there! We're getting married there in October, and the size of place was--is--a big concern. We are inviting about 160 people and hoping for some no's. We were told that it can hold up to 170-175, but would be more comfortable at 150 or fewer. I fell in love with the place too! Good luck with your decision!

I went to look at the San Souci. It's a beautiful place, but I was told that we couldn't have more than 150 people. I was afraid that if I had more than that we would be a little cramped.

Re: Sans Souci??
Thanks for all the great input, Ladies! I went to Sans Souci again last night and Manuel spent an hour with me going over every piece of night from how we would line up for the ceremony to how the cake would be cut, and most importantly, we went over floor plans. He invited me to stop by before a party on Saturday that will be set for 150, but unfortunately I will be out of town. They are saving a date for me for two weeks (Aug. 8, 2003!!) to give me some time to think about it. This was the second place we looked at and it's still my favorite. It seems to offer everything (waterview, one party at a time, fantastic food) at such a great price.... and best of all I have only heard good things about this place. I think we'll do it and hope for a good number of 'no's' on RSVPs. It's a Friday night, so that might keep some people away. We'll see -- thanks so much!

Re: Sans Souci??
Of course, I'll be checking back to see what you decide.
Manuel was our maitre'D the day of our wedding, and he was so awesome.
Good Luck!
P.S. THe food was one of the top reasons we picked the place!!

Re: Sans Souci??
I am getting married at Sans Souci in a little over a month. Our guest list will be between 150-160. I have gone over the floor plan and it really doesn't seem like it will be a problem. I would say anything over 160 is too much. The room set up for 140 is definitely comfortable. We were nervous because our invite list grew to 200 but we got plenty of 'no's' (we are also doing a Friday night). I would definitely recommend them. Have you been to a showcase? If not, try to attend one. Their food is amazing. I am so happy I found this place. The price was great, everything is included, and they are so accomidating. Also, the dance floor is really big which is a big plus for my family. Try to check out the room when they have it set up for 150 even if it is at another time.
