It appears that Sans Souci is very ideal for 100 person or so wedding. I just have 2 questions:
1.The cocktail hour- I hear it's outside but if I get married in April, it may be a little too cold for an outdoors CH. What do they do in that case? Have the CH in the same room as the reception? Does that get hectic when CH is over?
2.I heard (on this site) that they don't allow food tastings.. is that true? I read good things about the food on liweddings, but still..I would like to know for myself before putting so much $$ down.
Thanks!

Re: Sans Souci Question..
Hi! My brother and SIL got married there! They were able to have their cocktail hour outdoors, so I am not sure how it goes when the CH is inside. But the CH is in the same room as the Reception. You never know though, the weather could be really nice in April and you could luck out!!!
As for the food....it was fabulous!! I am not sure if they do tastings, but I do know they do a Mother's Day brunch, try to go this year and try the brunch food at least. That's what my brother and sil did. We all went and it was very lovely. Good luck!

Re: Sans Souci Question..
I also booked at the Sans Souci. Wonderful food. They do allow food tasting. You have to schedule with them when they have an event that has the menu that you'll be choosing from. We had steak and salmon from the deluxe menu. They also give you salad. They don't offer cake tasting, but if they happen to have some left over from the event, you can taste that. Everything was great.

Re: Sans Souci Question..
if you cant have the cocktail hour outside, you have it inside on the dance floor. a little wierd..... but i guess they pull it off.
i went to look at the place, but decided to book elsewhere. the view is great, and the pictures by the water are nice, but you have to cross the road to get there.

Re: Sans Souci Question..
Cocktail hour is done where the bar and fireplace is. The room does separate between the cocktail area and dinning area. It works out very nice because ounce the cocktail hour is finished they open the gates and the guest take one step up to the dinning area and the dance floor is then opened up. There is also a ramp on the other end for people who need wheel chair access. We where guest at a party there durring the winter and it was beautiful. Cocktail hour was inside and the flow was exellent, the room is designed to have cocktail hour inside and as a big bonus have the option to do it outside if the weather is nice. Trust me its beautiful inside or out. We picked the Premier menu for our wedding.
