I really am not a fan of Hyunadai, although theyre quality has gone up in the past couple of years. Their designs are just awful, especially the Santa Fe. It looks like it was hit from behind. I say definately go with the Equinox. I actually saw one the other day, and loved it. Good Luck with whatever you choose.

fh has the equinox and we both love it - that will be my 'kids' car when the time comes. it drives like a car, not an suv and is more affordable now.

I just got the Equinox and I LOVE it!! I got Salsa Red -- it is classy, yet tough looking and so cute!

My sister has the Sante Fe. She got in 2000. It has lasted through everything imaginable. She brought it upstate for college and it has gotten her back and forth in many snowstorms! It drives like a car not a truck. Plus you really cant beat the 100,000 mile warranty! good luck!

Two big thumbs up for the Sante Fe.
It's substantial for it's size, it drives great .. and the warranty .. AWESOME!
I haven't had any experience with the Tucson yet .. but love it's design .. kinda like a mini-Santa Fe.
I'm not really a fan of the design of the Equinox .. though I really wanted to be .. because I like Chevy. But I just don't like the shape .. and the warranty Chevy offers is lousy .. the last I remember .. they were still at 3 years / 36,000 miles. Maybe that's changed?

Well, I like the Santa Fe and the Equinox. FH has the Equinox and it does drive very nice. I have drove the Santa Fe and really like that too. I really do think Hyundai came a long way.
I know I haven't been much help. I don't think you can go wrong with what ever you choose. Good Luck!!!

I had a Santa Fe and loved it! Awesome warranty, drives great, handles amazing in the snow, plenty of room.
Good luck!

I have a brand new Santa Fe and I love it! AND it's AWESOME in the snow. It's all wheel drive, and I drove home in like 20 inches of snow in that bad boy. Love it. Totally recommend it.

Equinox...DH has a friend who sells Chevy and the Equinox is a great vehicle. Well built, eas handling, smooth ride. all the features of a mini-van but in an suv body that handles like a car
Plus all GM car dealerships are offering the employee price to the public right now!!!

My DH is a GM dealer (but not Chevy) and he would totally recommend the Equinox. Plus, through the end of this month, GM is offering employee pricing on all their vehicles, so you can't go wrong.
