Sarah! Tasting!

SJR I completely forgot to tell you I finally got to a tasting at Giorgio's! I went with my mom last week and it was all pretty good I walked out of there stuffed. They did their two popular appetizers (to split) and then we each got our own plate of their three most popular entrees.

I booked it with my mom rather then FH since they only do one a month and I had no idea when I would be back in the country before the wedding. Of course like 2 weeks later I find out I'll be moving close by so I hope that I can get back in with FH because he'll kill me if he can't.

I really wanted to bring both my parents since they're the ones paying for it, but they are really strict about having only two people. I was really disappointed bc my father came with us when we went tasting at like the vineyards and stuff BUT in the end, we had already booked so its not like we were going to cancel!

So girls who have not tasted at Giorgio's yet, OR are thinking about booking, we were super happy with our experience and it got us even more excited about the wedding!!

Yeah everyone can come to the showcase but I had to avoid pitching a fit because we live out of country, I can't make ANYTHING!

But now that it turns out we'll be around in July, FH is really excited to come to the showcase! My mom has already been to one and so I won't be bringing her.

The tasting didn't really help me figure out what choices we would make in the future ( sooo many choices!!) but it was a really nice set-up and it got me all excited again.

Pshhh, Heather, you're going to be living in Jersey! That's practically next door to Giorgio's (in a relative sense...)

I know what you mean about not being able to make anything. I don't think I'll ever be around for a showcase. I'll be in NY in May, Dec (around Christmas), and then next May (right around my... our... weddings!). I'd love to go to a showcase but it's really not worth crossing the Atlantic just for that. All I can say is that this May had better be a check-filled trip.

Get home for a showcase so we can parrrrty! haha now that I know i'll be so close I've been throwing everything to the back burner. At least you'll be able to go to a tasting so thats good, the eggplant appetizer they gave us was amazzzing!

We can pick opposite meals for our weddings so you can taste everything you didn't choose at mine

Haha you mean you're not going to be away on a honeymoon during mine? It's not fair... I still need to fit into my dress after your wedding. By the time mine comes along, you'll be married for 8 days!

Convince Giorgio's to have a slightly-before-Christmas showcase and I'll be there (<-- I really want an emoticon that dances)

Haha no we can't even afford our wedding right now let alone a honeymoon! This week was the first time we sat down and said ok what are the realistic prices, not just my initial budgets and it jumped up by like 3K so he went through erasing my little 'extra' stuff because... well they add up!

Chances are I'll add all that stuff back

I'll steal some of your guests! I'm so worried that our wedding will be too small and no fun, and that none of FH's OOT guests will show up.

Anyway, let me know if you find any good Photog's that aren't on the typical lists because we cannot find one we like that doesn't cost as much as the wedding itself
