Sash Dress and BM dresses...what to do??

So I'm wearing the Amsale sash dress (ivory with a champagne color sash) and I'm so confused what to do with my bridesmaids dresses. I really wanted to have a maroon/wine/deep red color bm dress, but because my dress has the champagne color in it, will that look horrible? I was also thinking of having them wear black, but my mom was not too pleased with that. I was thinking of doing champagne but it doesn't look right with all of their skin tones, some are just too fair skinned for it to do them any justice. What color do you think would look best? Thanks for your help!

I think you could definetly do the wine/maroon/deep red theme. It would look stunning, imo. I also think black would be just as stunning (but I'm biased, my BP is wearing black ).

I think that a red/wine color would look great, I don't see why the two-toned dress would affect that, nothing clashes...

Hi. I went to a wedding in August and the bride had the sash dress and her bridesmaids dresses were a dark purple. It looked really nice. So, I dont think there's any reason why you couldn't have maroon bridesmaid dresses.

First of all, I love the Amsale sash dress!! Beautiful choice! Second of all, I think a wine or deep red color would look fabulous with the champagne sash on your dress. Those colors totally compliment eachother!! Don't worry about it at all, go for it!

I totally agree - champagne and wine would look great together! And your dress is Gorgeous!! I love it! (Amsale makes such amazing gowns!)

I had the same concerns for my wedding dress and didn't want to do champagne for the BM dresses for the same reason (actually my MOH refused to wear champagne as it 'washes her our' )

I wound up using a deep purple but orginally wanted a wine/burgundy color. Either would be beauitful.

Hi...i had a champagne sash dress and my bridesmaids dresses were euro red. Let me see if i can find a pic to post.

I'm glad to hear I'm not the only one who has this worry (or had this worry). Thank you everyone for your input! I'm so happy that I'll be able to use wine colors!

i totally love the sash dresses! i have tried on the amsale with the blue sash and love it!!! but my mom wants me to get a diff. color b/c 'the blue is too much'! but def. a great choice! i think the hardest part is finding a good look for the bridesmiads. if you go on theknot.com the have a whole bio on sash dresses and what all the brides did for their bm dresses!! good luck and great choice.

If you go to the weddinchannel's sash thread- someone here just posted the link- one Amsale bride did that exact combo w/ red- and though I wouldn't have ever thought to do it either- it looked really nice. I'm considering an Amsale sash dress but like the look of sash BM dresses and don't know if that would look stupid or not-

Did any sash brides to sash for their BMs too?
