thanks for the input about SAS - I guess you looked at my profile and saw that I am getting married at 15th and West also?? How many people are you having, did you go to a tasting yet? There aren't too many on here getting married there!

Re: sasha96

hi jps - good luck with SAS, they were so great...really nice, down to earth, and different from other DJs in the way we were looking for. I did see in your profile that you were getting married at 15th & West so I figured I should post to you! And you are right, there aren't many of us on the board, so I glad to hear from you!

We haven't done our tasting yet...that is probably a few months away since we are getting married in April '03. Our wedding is going to be all vegetarian, and my FH and I think Philip Stone can do a great job with the food. It was hard to find someone who we could trust with the food!! Have you gone for your tasting?

How is your planning going otherwise? You only have a few months left!

Re: sasha96

I am interested in 15th & West for my reception also... Could you tell me more about it? Type of food, Size of the room, Number of guests you will be having there, average prices, etc? Thanks in advance! I would like to have some idea about the place before I go in and meet with them.

Re: sasha96

Hi sasha - do you find that it's frustrating when you tell people you're getting married at 15th and West and they have no idea what or where it is! We really did like SAS and would recommend people meeting with them, but we wound up going with Music by Michael, he is awesome and we are really happy. 15th and West is supposed to be getting some new chairs, I am hoping soon bc I really don't like their chairs, and the covers are $7 each! How many people are you having at your wedding?

Re: sasha96

Hey deborah- i know what you mean about having to explain 15th & West! First I have to explain that it is the Bar Assoc., then people look at me strange (probably thinking it's an office building or something) and then I have to describe what it looks like/is used for. I have met some people who have attended weddings/parties there and every one of them has said how great the food was!

I also heard that 15th & West was getting new chairs. Do you know when they said they were getting them? I may just splurge for the chair covers (I didn't recall them being $7 though...I thought it was a little less).

I'm planning on having about 130-140 people at my wedding. My FH's family (except parents) live all over the country and in Germany. We're having a terrible time with the guest list and estimates. How many people are you having?

I read in the forum mail I got from you that you had your tasting. I can't wait for mine! How is the rest of your planning going? You only have a couple months more! We're working on bridesmaid dresses and limos (soon). Talk to you again soon! Keep in touch!
