I love the way satin looks for my bridesmaid dress because I feel like it brings elegance and class. However, MY wedding is at the end of June. Do you think satin is to heavy for a June wedding? The dress is long but we would be outside taking pictures early in the morning since I am doing a day wedding.

Re: Satin in the summer
i wore satin for a friend's wedding that was the first week in July - I was incredibly hot and uncomfortable and almost felt faint but i just get super hot in general. I think it's fine though if you want to do it

Re: Satin in the summer
There are different kinds of satin though, different thicknesses... so maybe bring up that concern to the salon and see what they recommend? I fI had to wear the dress I wore to my friend's March wedding in June or July I would have been very uncomfortable.

Re: Satin in the summer
My girls wore thin black satin floor length gowns for my August wedding (we did black & white w/ yellow accents). ALL the girls LOVED them & were really happy...they looked great.

If youre not going to be outside long its fine. If you are and its hot i say no. One of my coworkers wore a satin short dress to another coworkers wedding this year and you can see the sweat after the outdoor ceremony was over. Fyi she was a guest!
