i'm getting married at 10am on a saturday. that means i'll be getting up at like 5am.
when are you all having your rehearsal dinner? i want to have mine on thursday night because i can't imagine getting home late on friday and waking up a few hours later. i'll probably never fall asleep!
i know that means a few people might not be able to be there. that's okay with me because it's ME that has to be rested for saturday.
do you think thursday night is okay???

Re: saturday daytime wedding--question about RD
I had my wedding at 12:30 on a Saturday last July. I had the rehearsal dinner on Friday, though I would have preferred to have it on Thursday. My sister and brother-in-law couldn't take time off work on Friday though, and I wanted them to be there.
It wasn't too bad, but I didn't have to get up as early as you do. Think I got up at 6:45.

Re: saturday daytime wedding--question about RD
I had two weddings last year where the RD was on Thursday because the ceremony was early Saturday.
This is totally acceptable.

Re: saturday daytime wedding--question about RD
i just worry because most of my bridal party is out of state so some of them probably can't come. is that still acceptable?

Re: saturday daytime wedding--question about RD
I have the same situation, but my wedding is on Sun.... I would like to have the dinner on Fri, but all of FH family and guests are OOT, so many of them would not be able to make it. So it looks like its going to be on Sat. but I made it very clear that it will be an EARLY night, ending no later than 10 pm!!!!!! So we will probably have the dinner around 6. We are not technically having a rehearsal cause the ceremony is at the hall, so we don't have any restrictions because of a churcn, etc.

Re: saturday daytime wedding--question about RD
I got married on a Sunday morning (makeup and hair came at 6am) and we had the RD on Saturday night (no rehearsal since I got married at the hall). It worked out fine. I'm glad we did it the night before b/c everybody could make it and it was a nice relaxing evening before the wedding. The dinner was over by 10 and then the BP all hung out in one of the suites at the hotel. I went to bed by 12, but I was so excited about the big day that I hardly slept. I wasn't really tired the next morning though b/c the adrenaline and excitement kept me going.

Re: saturday daytime wedding--question about RD
We got married on a Sunday. I was up at 4:15 am! We had our RD on Saturday from 2-6pm. We wanted it done early so the kids and adults could get to bed and rested since we were asking everyone to be there at 8:30am.
Since you're getting married on a Saturday morning I think a Thursday night is perfect for your RD!
