Good Morning Brides to be

Hope everyone has a great weekend

Happy 9 months to myself!! LOL

Wedding planning can be stressful. Has the process made you have a closer relationship with a friend/ family memeber or has the process broke a relationship?

I barely had a good relationship with my mother and the wedding planning HAS NOT changed anything. I kind of wish it did but it hasn't. I have learn to deal with it.

BUT my MOH and I have been crazy close before and it just makes up more up each other assses and I love her for it.

Sorry to hear about you and your mom. I fortunately have a good relationship with mine, which has only stayed steady throughout the planning process (despite some bickering here and there :p)

It has also brought me closer to some of my friends. It's a whole different type of bonding experience when you get women together talking about weddings :p

Until last night I would have said that surprisingly it has brought my mom and I closer together. However, we disagreed on inviting a guest and it went back to the same old routine. I think relationships are what they are and my mom and I have always had a love/hate relationship. Things have been a certain way for too long for things to really change. You just have to appreciate the good moments and resist the urge to slap people during the bad ones!

Hmm...I don't think its made me closer with the people involved- I think Im already pretty close with all the people involved...maybe we'll become closer as it gets closer to the date

I've never had a good relationship with my father, but since I've been engaged he does call me once every few months, which is more than usual lol

It has definitely brought me closer to my FSIL. Since our weddings are only a year apart we are constantly bouncing ideas off each other and chatting all the time bout our fam stress which is sooo helpful!

Ah. In the beginning of our planning, my mom became impossible to be around, talk to, etc....
We have been getting better these days especially when we do things just her and I, instead of all of the ladies in the bridal party & MOH. I'm so glad we are past that stage because I'm less stressed now.

I've also become closer to the ladies I work closely with and with most of my bridesmaids.

we still have a lot of planning ahead of us so we havent had any 'real' stress moments yet. im sure once this fall comes and we are at our year mark then it will start getting stressful so i dont really know yet.

Hmm... I can't say that my relationship with anyone has really changed. It could also be that I like to research and plan by myself, and I don't involve anyone else. If I like a vendor/idea and FH agrees, then we just book and don't ask anyone else's opinion. It's actually worked out pretty well for us, we don't really care what anyone has to say about our plans

I had an okay relationship with my mother and since i have been planning my own wedding it has made it worse. The reason is because I have always known what kind of wedding I wanted and she brings down my wedding like it is not important and she also hates that I am marrying a good guy and she has had two failed marriages. As far as my other relationships with my married friends i am becoming closer with them because they have gone through the planning. With FH's family it also has gotten stronger because they are just so excited for us.

I think it has kind of brought me closer to my mother and that's about it. It definitely has pushed me away from a bridesmaid seeing how selfish she is.

So far, it's really shown me who really actually cares about helping and who couldn't care less. If I'm ever a BM in some of my friends weddings (who aren't contributing), I def. won't be busting my a55 to help, as I normally would have.
