Saturn Vue

Saturn Vue

I just wanted to know if anyone owns one of these SUV's? My brother in laws mother only buys Saturn's, and she was asking me yesterday if I knew anything about the VUE. The only thing I knew was that it is in its second year now, and that I like it. I didnt like it when it first came out though.

So please tell me your reviews of the truck...
Thanks,
Scott

We are thinking of getting one too. I would love to hear other opinions

Re: Saturn Vue

I do, I do!

I have lots of opinions and I don't work for Saturn!

My husband and I looked around at all the SUV's on the market and although I wasn't absolutely crazy over how they looked, I test drove it and fell in LOVE! To make a long story short, I love to drive stick and loved the handling of it. What made the VUE even better for us, was that the salespeople at Saturn are not typical salespeople. We were never pressured to do anything and the guy even let us go back and forth about buying vs leasing and different payments that we could afford/looking to spend. This guy spent hours with us and I ended up walking out saying that I would have to think about it. I called the next day and he was super nice about everything...we went back in and signed the lease.

It would have been cheaper for us to actually buy the VUE but we decided since it was so new that we would lease it for the 3 years (since everything is covered) and see how we liked it and see how it faired in the market in 3 years. I honestly believe that we will be buying it (a new one though) when my lease is up in two years.

If you have any specific questions, please ask.

Re: Saturn Vue

Did you get a 2004 or a 2003? Any problems with it? Anything you dont like about it?

Re: Saturn Vue

It would be the 2003 because I got it last December.

I am happy to report that I have had absolutely NO problems with the car! Nothing, nadda, zilch...which I know is surprising for a new car. As far as I know, there isn't even a recall yet for this model.

Anything I don't like? Hmmmm, that is a tough one because I really honestly can't think of anything at the moment. I live in Buffalo and to be honest it handles great in the snow/cold.

Re: Saturn Vue

How is the gas mileage on the truck? Did you get a V6?

Approx. how much are they?

Re: Saturn Vue

I think they are in the low $20's to mid $20's...I keep seeing the new commercial with the bright red one....and I can honestly say that I think its a nice looking truck now....I didnt like it when it was first introduced.

My brother in laws mother wants a red one too

Re: Saturn Vue

We have the V6 and it's ok, we don't love it. The pick-up is not great and it's a noisy ride. It took me a while to get used to the steering - it's super responsive.

We get decent milage and it takes regular gas so it's not too expensive to fill-up but the tank is on the small side.

It's deceptively large - the back seat is roomy & we can fit quite a lot of stuff in the back, especiallywith the back seats folded down.

The prices vary depending on the options but you could probably get them from the saturn website since they don't wheel & deal all the vehicles are sold for the same price.

Here is a pricing guide:

I drive the FWD 4 because they only come that way with a stick. I like the control that I get from driving in the snow to pick-up power with a stick.

As for gas mileage, I probably do get about 23-25miles/gallon. I found this link for gas mileage I haven't calculated the mileage as of recently.
