Save the date

Has anyone sent out save the date cards or magnets? when do you send the out?

I've been playing around trying to make one that I like but I probably won't be sending them out until the one year mark. It depends though some people who have a lot of out of towners want to get them out earlier. On the other hand if your guests are more local you can wait longer. So it depends I guess. Most of what I've heard is about 9 months-1 year.

No not yet. A lot of brides on here have used vistaprint.com for the magnets. Others have ordered the free business cards from vistaprint and then attached them to a magnet themselves. I'm considering that or possibly printing them myself from magnet paper from staples. I'm not sure yet, we'll see. I'm having fun trying to design one though!

I ordered mine from favorlady.com and will send them out after the 1 year mark.

I think I am actually going to wait till the summer. I have about 60% out of towners but since it's in March, I don't think I need to send them out one year in advance....

I think I am shooting for August/September. Maybe a bit earlier, but not certain.

Even though my wedding is now less than a year (GULP!!) if I do send them out, it will be in July. I don't have too many OOT guests and those who are know about the wedding already. I checked out some STDs on ebay and saw some cute ones for cheap! Just a suggetion. I am really into this ebay thing right now.
