Save the Date

Hello all !

Just wondering...does your save the dates have to match the theme\colors of your wedding?? I am having a Fall wedding with sunflowers & neutral colors & will probably be adding some vineyard themed touches. Haven't found any save the dates that I like that go with this !!!

Thanks for your input !

Re: Save the Date

I made my own save the dates and did them early...way before i had a color scheme picked out. i actually did cream and tiffany blue and i thought they were so prretty! My colors for the wedding are cream, chocolate and pink....so that's completely different! LOL, noone said anything!!! I think it's ok to do whatever you like!

No, they don't have to match at all. Go with something you like!

mine didn't match b/c I sent them out way before I had decided on a color scheme for my wedding.
If you already know your color scheme and can find a STD that matches, then why not go for it? But if you find something else you like that doesn't match, don't worry!

They do not have to match. One of ours did (we designed our own and made several diff ones) but the others were baby pictures we merged so they had nothing to do with our theme. These were ones we used.

Jenns STD thread

If there is something very specific that you want, you are best off designing it yourself in photoshop. Thats what we did because I majored in graphic arts and as a result, am VERY picky about graphic art work. I knew I wanted soemthing specific so i designed my own.

i worried about lots of things matching and someone on here gave wonderful advice - most people won't ever put all of the things you send them together or remember from one to the next what the other ones looked like. so if your STDs don't match your invitations or your wedding colors, you're the only one who's really going to know

We purchased ours from Jean M. They have autumn colors. They have a web site. You can also speak with a customer service person on the web site. They are very good.

I hope that we helped you out.

If you do not want to purchase Photoshop or are not talented in terms of visual arts, I know there are several people here who could probably do it for you. I made one for my best friend's wedding-hehe she and I 'barter' by doing things for one another. She tutors me in math and feed sme 3x a week (cooks PHENOMENALLY and i have to struggle not to burn water) and I do the artistic portions of her lesson plans for her classroom and items for her wedding. Works out :)
