save the date

I need help with wording...

This is the save the date we like..since my church is in Queens but my reception is in LI - I should put the location of the church right?

Or do you think I should have them change the saying all together?? Any suggestions?

Yeah, just put Long Island... I didn't put anything excpet the date and our names on our STD... we didn't have anything even booked yet. LOL

I put the location of the reception as people will be staying at nearby hotels!

I would just write

Save the Date
Town in Queens, NY b/c the Church, where everyone is going first is in Queens.

I'm getting married at my RH so I would have put Douglaston, NY.

I actually just looked at my STD and I don't even have the location on it just STD and the Date.
