Save the Date cards

Save the Date cards

I was just advised that it is a good idea to send them out one year before the wedding. I am getting married on a holiday weekend, and we do have some out-of-town guests coming. What do you think?

Yes, I am also getting married on a holiday weekend (July 3, 2005)so I am going to send them out this July. Oh, and I am going to make sure they get them after July 3, 2004 so they don't get confused! Anyway good luck!

OOh wait, are we supposed to send hotel info with the STD's or can I just send them w/ the invite? I don't have that many OOTers, just friends who will party. I was just going to send the magnet w/ a little note card.

I am also getting married on a holiday weekend and I am thinking about sending them out about 8 months ahead. I am planning to send them out the second week of January, so they won't be forgotten about or misplaced b/c of the holiday hetic-ness before that. Do you think that's enough time???

Well I was just asking because some people do need to give in their vaca time to their job a year in advance...and also some people that go on cruises tend to book again on the same cruise a year in advance...so if you can I'd say give it a year. I think I will take all the good advice...Thanks brides!

I'm getting married the same day as JZNCK (march 12 2005) and I'm going to send my STD's out in Mid-may.. They are all printed and ready to go, just have to get the hotel info before mailing-I figured the invitation go out 6-8 weeks before the wedding and is another reminder of the date

I'm not getting married on a holiday weekend, but I'm still planning on sending out my STD's about a year in advance as I have a large number of people coming in from OOT.
