Save the Date Cards

Does anyone know how far in advance we should be sending these out?

Thank you all for your advice. I actually already have the hotel rooms blocked and my wedding is in September so I guess I could send them out soon after the new year. Thanks again.

Our wedding is in October and we are going to be sending our save the date cards end of January, beginning of February. Most of our guests will be coming from out of state, so we want to give them plenty of notice to plan their trip!

Good luck!

in the 6-8 month time frame..I wouldn't do it too close. I was dragging my feet on it and guess what? I never sent them, it didnt seem worth doing as it got closer but definitely if you still have the time. Try to get a block of rooms at a hotel around the same time so you can include that info

We got engaged in July and sent them out in Sept for our June wedding. They were a big hit. We got them down at Kinkos and they werev a simple postcard type flat plain card with the tiem and date of weddinga nd reception: Please join us on June 16th as we clebrate Jen and Kevins marriage. something like that. We also have a lot of out of towners and they were hapy to get it. No matter when it is sent it will be appreciated

Spin Around Sound is a DJ who actually does that. I think its 625.00. No animation, or baby pictures and stuff just the coverage.
Also Hempstead Harbor Beach has a Large outdoor covered picnic area. I've been to a wedding there.

Everything is going well. Yes, I am having it made out in San Fran and yes, that is my big project over the holidays. I have three appointments with them while I am out there and they tell me they should be able to have it somewhat completed (except for any beading or embroidery that I want to add--haven't decided that part yet! any suggestions?)

Absolutely-it is all going to well worth it! Sorry, don't know the going rate for florists yet-haven't gotten that far. Actually, I did go to one early on and was so turned off by them. They just seemed a little too cheesy for me and all of their stuff looked the same.
